What
is A Public Administration?
Public
administration has various authors, such as Wilson, Max Weber, Sanchez, among
others, who are credited for giving concept definitions as well as their
implications. However, each one contributes to seeing the Public Administration
both as an object of study and as the study of the object. We get an understanding
of its relevance to society, the formulation and implementation of public
policy, as well as relevant actors in society, government in action. These are
some of the definitions that authors gives to Public Administration.
In short,
public administration goes beyond a simple concept written in books or part of
the theory. It is something that is practiced in the daily life of the public
function. A Public Administrator understands how the State of its component
organs works. It is a discipline whose main driving force is to improve the
lives of citizens, which convinces me every day more of the action of the state
body as contributing to the lives of those families, social classes, citizens, their
needs as well as their problems.
In
conclusion, I feel proud and happy to study Public Administration and to be a
professional who does not work for a private company, but rather for all
Chileans.
This is all, see you soon!
